Let’s talk about Planet Earth and all its forms of life, including humans. Let’s talk about how we can work together to build a better future for all. Let’s talk, and let’s listen to each other too.

Everyone seems to be worrying, even in despair about ‘saving the planet’ – even saving ourselves and our children. With a rising tide of violence, corruption and fascism it can feel like we are headed for complete disaster; but it’s not inevitable. We just need to stop and then be the change. We can do it!

This is going to be as safe and respectful a space as I can make it. I am going to set the ball rolling by offering a series of ideas for your consideration. Some – perhaps all – of them might seem challenging. But you don’t have to agree with me, I am just trying to open a space for discussion, and will welcome any positive contributions you’d like to make.

This is not intended to be about self-publicity or evangelism. I am looking forward to hearing from you too. Feel free to contribute material – articles, poems, cartoons, jokes, recipes … on the theme of planet and people. I hope you’ll join us .

Before we start, I will just say that it will probably be impossible to avoid being political, philosophical, and occasionally robust. The basic premise is that the planet, people and the ecosystem of which we are a part are inseparable. That is a radical idea in western society – and its implications are going to change everything.
